New Year New Me!!!

I am starting this year off with blogging again. My husband and I moved last July to Florida. We moved to a small Key in Northern Florida. Our city is Cedar Key. I have met so many artistic people in this town. I am putting my creations out there for others to enjoy. My passion is card making. I am currently working on Invitations for our son's wedding this July. I am also going to start showing more of my cards in town to get my name out there. I will keep you all updated.

All About Layering 2: Big World

Today's card features Altenew's Big World Stamp and Die Bundle. I wanted to showcase this stamp set and I decided to do a spinner card. I wanted to show a different perspective for this set. I decided to use a lot of colors to showcase this set. I wanted to show someone special to me that they are my world and without him, my world has no color.
I thought a spinner card could showcase these feelings.
I stamped the world 2 times. Once in grays and the second time in color. The ink pads I used were: Parrot, Maple Yellow, and Ruby Red for the colorful image. Then I used Silver Stone, Industrial Diamond, and Pure Graphite for the gray image. The Phrase is stamped in Jet Black. I stamped the word World with Autumn, Blaze, Hydrangea, Tide Blue, Just Green, and Maple Yellow.
I used Whip Cream card stock and circle dies from FSJ. My glitter paper is from My Favorite Things.
I used some silver thread from my stash.
I placed the thread between the 2 world images and then taped it down between the card stock layers.
To make the world spin, you just twist the thread severalties and close the card. When the recipient opens the card the world spins.
Below is the video showing this:

I really enjoyed taking this class and making this card.

All About Layering

I am working on my certification with Altenew. I was accepted into their Educator Certification Program at the beginning of the month. This is an exciting challenge for me. I have been stamping for almost 20 years and it's always a learning experience.

My first class is All About Layering 1. This class showed me how to layer their various stamp sets used in the class. This was a great class to get my feet wet and try some of their stamp sets. The class made me feel comfortable with the stamps.

For my creation,Golden Garden Stamp & Die Bundle.
I used the smaller and medium bloom in the set to create my background. My ink colors are: Jet Black, Persian Blue, Caribbean Sky, and Starlight. My card stock is from FSJ.I used Whip Cream and Denim Days.

I stamped one bloom and die cut it out for focal point. My sentiment is foiled using the Glimmer Foil Machine from Spellbinders. The foil plate is from the monthly subscription, it's called Everyday Sentiments. I used the Gold Foil to foil it and then die cut it with the die include in the kit.

The sentiment and single bloom where popped up with foam squares. My background layer was also popped up to give some dimension.

I used my pearls from my stash to complete my card.

12 Days of Creating

Today is the final day of my 12 Days of Creating.

I have really enjoyed creating different cards and projects for you. Today is all FSJ. Everything except for the ribbon is FSJ. This card features the use of stencils to create the background. With stencils, you can create a different background each time. The only stamping is the sentiment. After creating the background, die cut the branches and pinecones and adhere everything with craft glue. The stenciled background is popped up.

Thank you for following my 12 days of creating.
I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, or Happy Kwanza..Whatever you celebrate, make it the best.

Happy Kreating!!!

12 Days of Creating

Today is Day 11

Holidays can be stressful and what could help? A martini or a cute card with a martini glass. This stamp set from Unity Stamp Co "Bright Spirits" inspired me to bring out my Copic markers and color. The glass was stamped on Cryogen White cardstock in Black Licorice ink. Once I started, I had to bling it out with glitter paper from MFT. To give the glass a wet look, I used Journey Glass from FSJ just on the martini glass.

I used Spellbinders 2013 Heirloom Ornaments die for the sentiment.

Copic markers used:
Leaves: G21,G24,G28,YG01,YG03,YG07
Berries: R22,R24,R27,R29 R01,R02,R05,R08
Stem: E23
Ornament: B00,B02,B05,B06, BV00,BV11,BV13,BV17
Shadow and inside of glass: B00

Now for a real martini:)

12 Days of creating

Today is Day 10

Today I used a couple of different techniques for this card. To achieve the multi color stamping, I used my Misti. The Ornament stamp is a single stamp. I did not use any masking for this. I rubbed the inked over the area I wanted to stamp and then stamped. The Misti is perfect for this because there is no guessing for lining up the stamp each time. If the color is too light, you can stamp again.
I then stamped the ornaments 3 times on some patterned paper from Echo Park. The collections are : so this is Christmas and Reflection Christmas. I then cut the ornaments out and lined them up. I used craft glue to adhere to the cardstock.

I used Sparkle Silk to add a little sparkle to the card.
My stamp set is from Unity Stamp Co. It is Twig of Memory.

12 Days of Creating

Day 9

Today's project is inspired by the upcoming Christmas Festivities. It's always nice to bring a gift to a host's home and who doesn't like a bottle of wine.

My supplies for this project are from Jaded Blossom and FSJ.
I used the Wine Tag Die from Jaded Blossom. I also used Holiday Fun and Christmas Village:Gingerbread House from Jaded Blossom.
The background stamps is Festive Cheer from FSJ. I stamped it in Whip Cream ink and used Clear Embossing powder over it. I used Whip Cream Pan Pastel over the top lightly to give it a chalkboard look.
The stamped images are colored using Color Splash pencils and then Journey Glazed. I used Sparkle Dust over the tree.

Ribbon is from my stash. I used my embossing gun to shrink it. The images are popped up.

Now to get the perfect bottle of wine for this tag.

Happy Kreating!!
