My inspiration for this card came from the M-Bossability plate: Diamond Fleur de Lis by Spellbinders.
I knew I wanted to make something that represented New Orleans Flair. Venetian Accent Die set was the perfect match for my card.
My card dimensions are 5" x 5" done in Brushed Gold cardstock. A 4 3/4" x 4 3/4" size Black cardstock was embossed using the Diamond Fleur de Lis M-Bossability plate. I adhered the embossed cardstock to the card base.
I then decided to give some color to Glossy cardstock. I cut the Glossy cardstock down to 4 1/4" x 5 1/2". Using Tim Holtz Alcohol Inks, I placed a few drops of color. While it was still wet, I used canned air to move the color around. I continued with the inks until I was happy with the colors.
My color combo is : Purple Twilight, Sunshine Yellow, and Citrus Alcohol Inks.
Let the cardstock dry.
Once dry, I diecut my images out using Venetian Accents mask die and border die by Spellbinders. I placed wax paper between die and cardstock to make it easier to remove diecut paper.
For the border, I cut it apart and trimmed the extra ends off. I used the border as corners for my card.
I used E6000 spray glue to assemble the diecuts onto my card.
