Uplifting!! GIU Day 5

Well today is my last day as a GIU Girl :( I have really enjoyed showcasing my work and Unity Stamp Co.
I created this card to thank all of you for the comments on my work. It truly is "Uplifting"
Once again I am watercoloring. I used Spectrum Noir Aqua Markers to color my image. I then used a water brush to soften the sentiment. My cardstock is from Fun Stampers Journey. I die cut vellum paper using the doily die from Fun Stampers Journey.
I die cut the image/sentiment and popped the image up. I added some sequin for color pop.
My stamp set is " Always lifts you up" from Unity Stamp Co.. I stamped my image using Archival Jet Black ink.

Today is the last day to comment on my blog for a chance to win 25 stamps from Unity Stamp Co.
I will pick 2 winners. I will announce the winners tomorrow ( Sat 3/19) after 5 pm.
Thanks for the great week and Happy Kreating!!

Beautiful GIU Day 4

Today, I wanted to create something fun. I saw this image and sentiment and thought it was perfect. It's a cute card to start my Birthday off right. Yes, I am lucky to have my Birthday on St Patrick's day and I feel Beautiful!!
The stamps come from Unity's KOTM 5/14 "Hey Girl" My cardstock is all Fun Stampers Journey. I used Archival Jet Black ink and Clear Pigment ink with Orbitz Bright Tangerine Dream embossing powder. I embossed the orange CS using Beach Towel embossing folder from Fun Stampers Journey.
I stamped the middle glasses twice and fussy cut and popped it up. I colored with distress marker and then used Journey Glaze and Sparkle Dust to give it some pizzazz.
I hope you are enjoying my creative streak. I just love using Unity Stamps.
Please leave me some Birthday love below for a chance to win 25 stamps from Unity Stamp Co.
I will pick 2 winners and the end of the week.
 Happy Kreating!!

Say Yes to the Dress!! GIU Day 3!!

With Springtime here, that means it's Prom Season. This cute stamp set reminds me of prom. What better way to celebrate with a few pretty dresses. I have been playing around with watercoloring lately. I created 2 cards with the same image but I used 2 different methods of watercoloring.
The top image is colored using the Spectrum Noir Aqua Markers and the bottom image I colored with Twinkling H2O watercolors. The H2O card has a shimmer to it. The picture does not do it justice.

I used basic watercolor paper you find at Hobby Lobby. The cardstock is from Fun Stampers Journey. Patterned paper is from BoBunny.  Die is also Fun Stampers Journey. I popped the image up with foam squares to give dimension. My image is from "Happy Girls, Pretty Girls" by Unity Stamp Co.

Comment below for a chance to win 25 stamps from Unity Stamp Co.  I will pick 2 winners at the end of the week.

                          Happy Kreating!!

Time for a bike ride- Growing in Unity Day 2

Today is my second day for "Growing in Unity".
With spring here, I thought this card was perfect. It's time to take the bikes down and start traveling. Won't this be a cute ride with flowers. You could be delivering gifts to some unexpected friends.
This cutie patootie bike is from "Reasons to Smile" stamp set from Unity Stamp Company.
I used watercolor paper and Fun Stampers Journey Black Licorice ink. I colored the image using Spectrum Noir Aqua Markers. Cardstock, Dies, and Thread are also from Fun Stampers Journey. I popped the panel up on the base to give it some "POP"
Comment below for your chance to win 25 stamps from Unity Stamp Co.
I will pick 2 winners at the end of the week.
Happy Kreating!!

Operation Valentine-Growing in Unity Day 1

Today is my first day as the "Growing in Unity" girl. I am so excited to be picked. Today I wanted to showcase a card I need for "Operation Valentine". This event was for preteens and teens in local hospitals during Valentines. The cards were created for these children to pass out during there stay in hospital.
For this card I used Unity Stamp's "Love you this much".  I colored the owl using my Distress Markers. My cardstock is Stardream Metallic, Cosmo Cricket, and Fun Stampers Journey. I used Fun Stampers Journey Black Licorice ink to stamp this cute owl. To finish off my project, I used Spellbinders Labels 22 die,  Fun Stampers Journey pink world sequin, and popdots.
Come back tomorrow for my next project.
Please leave a comment below. I will be choosing 2 people to win 25 stamps each from Unity Stamp Company . I will draw the winners at the end of the week. Comment each day to increase your chances.
Happy Kreating

Hearts a Flutter

Today has been a busy day for me. I haven't posted in almost a year and today you get two posts. I am trying to get my blog going again. Thank you for your patience.
I created this card for an Anniversary card. All my supplies are from Fun Stampers Journey.
I used the new Cascading Hearts die for the main element of my card. The easiest way to diecut it, is to place a piece of plastic bag between the cardstock and die. The type you get from the grocery store. If you are like me, you have a few around. It's a great way to reuse the bag. I trimmed part of the cardstock away from the diecut. To adhere the cardstock, I used Journey Glaze on the back. I used the Journey splashes on my Whip Cream cardstock. (Sweet Berry and Journey Silver) I then punched out some hearts in Bubblegum and the new Spring Parade paper. The pink hearts were stamped using "Media Pattern" stamp set in Watermelon Fusion ink. The hearts were popped up. I jazzed my card up I used the Special Celebrations Sequins. My sentiment is from "Celebrate Tomorrow". It is stamped using Rock Candy ink. My base is Watermelon cardstock.
You are able to purchase all of these elements on my website at : www.funstampersjourney.com/barbklusendorf

   Happy Sunday!!

Fun Birthday Cards!!

Jaded Blossom Birthday Panels stamps and 100% Hipster stamps, Fun Stampers Journey Lemon Grass and Whipcream cardstock, Fun Stampers Journey Inkpads : Black Licorice, Beach Ball, Lemon Grass, Lemon Drop, and Tangerine Fusion, Journey Glaze and Sparkle Dust from FSJ, Copic markers, and popdots.

Jaded Blossom You're a Hoot stamp set, Watercolor paper, Fun Stampers Journey cardstock : Hazelnut  Blend and Pool Play, Bo Bunny patterned paper, Fun Stampers Journey Clear Pigment Ink, Black and White Embossing powders from FSJ, Journey Glaze,  Sparkle Dust , Gesso, and Dark Roast Silk from FSJ, Revers Banner die from FSJ, Spellbinders Fancy Tag Tim Holtz stencil, Zig Clean Color Brushes, Ribbon from Reasonable Ribbon, and popdots.

Today I created two Birthday cards for a few upcoming family birthdays. I found Jaded Blossom thru a friend of mine. It's always nice to have an enabler as a friend. I fell in love with their stamps. I incorporated Fun Stampers Journey cardstock and inks for my projects. I love how I was able to create a background using one stamp and several inks.
For my Owl card, I used some mixed media for the background. I watercolored the owl using the new Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers. I used a Tim Holtz stencil and used Gesso for the background. Once it was dry, I used FSJ Dark roast silk to splatter on the background. I love the different elements in this card.

Thanks for checking this out.
Happy Kreating!!
