My Turn!!

It is my turn to create the tutorial this week at mfpSpeedyTV . My tutorial can be found here.  I love how each time you do this technique it looks different. This technique gives you another use for embossing folders.  It is always nice to have dual purposes for your crafting supplies.
This card is great for the summer. It is light and airy.
I stamped the dragonfly from the Dragonflies Stampset by Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Co on Distressed watercolor paper with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I then colored the dragonfly with  my Distressed stain and a waterbrush. My Distressed Stain colors are Salty Ocean, Moweed Lawn, and Seedless Preserves. I used the same colors for my technique.

My supplies are Dragonflies Stamp set from Mark's Finest Papers, Memento Tuxedo black and Bahama Blue ink, Gina K cardstock and Tim Holtz' Distressed Watercolor paper, Distressed Stains in the colors above, and Sheena "Petite Petals"embossing folder.

Joy Fold

Today's challenge for Friends of SpeedyTV is to create a Joyfold card. My creation is a Thank You card. I left the inner card blank for personalization. I used the Hydrangea stamp set from Mark's finest Papers, a Heinrich Co.. Of course I used my go to color "purple". I used metallic purple cardstock from Curious Co. for the small card. I stamped the smaller flowers on the outside instead of patterned paper. I stamped some in full ink and stamped off a few for a little card. I took the full size Hydrangea and colored it with Spectrum Noir colored pencils. I then trimmed the flower out and popdotted on the outside of the card.
My other supplies are: Gin K cardstock, Deja Views " Fresh Print Apple" patterned paper, Memento inks in : Tuxedo Black, Rich Cocoa, Sweet Plum, Lulu Lavender, and Elderberry.

Masculine theme

The challenge for today's FOSTV is to create a masculine card. The challenge can be found here. For this card, I used Tree Frogs and Kiss Me Stamp sets from Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Co. Both of these sets are great for masculine cards. I continue the theme by using browns and greens. My brown layer is Core'dinations and I embossed with Sizzix Woodgrain folder and then sanded down. This gives it the distressed look. I love the way the card came together. This card is for my son's friend. The perfect card for a teenager.
My supplies: Tree Frogs and Kiss Me stamp sets from Mark's Finest Papers, Gina K cardstock, Core'dinations Distressed cardstock, sanding block, Spellbinder's Labels 18 dies, Memento Tuxedo Black ink, Spectrum Noir colored pencils, Sizzix Woodgrain embossing folder, and popdots.

Got milk??

This week's tutorial is stamping with evaporated milk. The tutorial can be found here. This was a interesting technique to do. I tried it the first time and had too much milk and when I heated the cardstock, it bubbled too much. Make sure that you stamp off first and then stamp on cardstock. Actually my cardstock has a cinnamon scent to it after the heat embossing. The more you heat it, the darker the image. This was a fun way to play with my food :)
My supplies: Great Flowers stamp set from Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Co., mfp Ultra Smooth White cardstock, Stampin' Up! cardstock, Copic markers, Fun Stampers Journey Black Licorice ink, and opaques from CTMH

Come and try this technique. The tutorial is here to follow. This is the stamp set from Mark's Finest Papers that you can win for your submission:
