Hello

Today's creations for FOSTV at mfpSpeedyTV is to create a set of note cards. This Pretty Pear stamp set from Mark's Finest papers, a Heinrich Co. is perfect for this design. Just a simple Hello is all you need to send a note. The cards are perfect to give to someone as a gift. Sometimes, I think we do too much electronically that we have forgotten how to write to people. What better way then is to get people started again.

I created a box for my note set and all you need is a bow to tie around the box.

Pocket Greetings

I designed a Pocket Greeting card today at mfpSpeedyTV . The Tutorial can be found here. For this challenged I made a card to give to my good friend. We always give cards for special occasion. For once, I wanted to give a card just because. I believe little random acts of kindness can change anyone's feeling. The simple act of just letting someone know you care is important. This card is perfect to fit a gift card to a coffee shop.  So remember that the little things do matter.
Here are some other views of my project:

My recipe: Pretty Pears Stamp set from Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Co., Gina K cardstock, JilliBean soup " Coconut Lime Soup" patterned paper, Gina K Black Onyx Inkpad, Memento Teal Zeal Inkpad, Spectrum Noir Colored pencils with Gamsol and blending stump, Reasonable Ribbon, and Making Memories brads.

I used gelatos on the background stamp and then misted with water and stamped. The sentiment is colored with Tombow  markers and then "huffed" on. A few buttons and Viola!! Card is done.

Today's challenge at Tutorial Time, we have to use an old picture in the project. I enjoyed this challenge because it brings back old times. My photo is from Corpus Christi in the 1970s. We would vacation in Texas. My uncle lived in San Antonio and as a treat, he would bring us to Corpus Christi. I love the beach and this card is perfect.

Snow, Snow, Snow!!

WOW!! I can't believe I am talking about snow after this past winter. I really don't want to think about next winter but I couldn't resist this card. My card has a Christmas theme. When I started the card, it called for a Christmas theme. This week at mfpSpeedyTV, our challenge is to create a Sidestep card. I decided I wanted to try a circular sidestep card. It took me a couple of tries to get the card the way I wanted it. I love the way it turned out. This might be my card for Christmas.

My Mini Album Kreation

For this challenge at mfp SpeedyTV, we created a mini album. This challenge was a challenge for me. I am a cardmaker not a scrapbooker. Albums and scrapbooks are outside of my comfort zone. Every once in awhile we need to step out of our comfort zone. Tutorial Time is a great place to come and do that. I did enjoy making this mini album and I am proud of it. I was able to use an array of different supplies from my stash.

I left 2 tags unstamped for personalization. I used several different stamps sets from Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Co. I love the way the different fibers look together.
Here are other views of my project:

It's time for some alcohol !!

No not that kind of alcohol. The kind you can create with: Alcohol Inks.
For this challenge at mfpSpeedy TV, we created a card using alcohol inks and cling wrap. This technique is great for backgrounds. What I like is that you get a different look with each piece. I tried this techcnique with a few different alcohol inks. When I finished, I knew that this one was perfect for my stamp and colors. I used Oriental Joy stamp set and Bearded Iris stamp set ( for the sentiment). These sets can be found at Mark's Finest Papers, a Heinrich Co.
I used my Sizzix Circle FlipIt #2 die to make the card base and the other dies for the designer paper.
I have included a few other images of my card.
I hope you come and play with us at Tutorial Time.
