Hearts a Flutter

Today has been a busy day for me. I haven't posted in almost a year and today you get two posts. I am trying to get my blog going again. Thank you for your patience.
I created this card for an Anniversary card. All my supplies are from Fun Stampers Journey.
I used the new Cascading Hearts die for the main element of my card. The easiest way to diecut it, is to place a piece of plastic bag between the cardstock and die. The type you get from the grocery store. If you are like me, you have a few around. It's a great way to reuse the bag. I trimmed part of the cardstock away from the diecut. To adhere the cardstock, I used Journey Glaze on the back. I used the Journey splashes on my Whip Cream cardstock. (Sweet Berry and Journey Silver) I then punched out some hearts in Bubblegum and the new Spring Parade paper. The pink hearts were stamped using "Media Pattern" stamp set in Watermelon Fusion ink. The hearts were popped up. I jazzed my card up I used the Special Celebrations Sequins. My sentiment is from "Celebrate Tomorrow". It is stamped using Rock Candy ink. My base is Watermelon cardstock.

Today I created two Birthday cards for a few upcoming family birthdays. I found Jaded Blossom thru a friend of mine. It's always nice to have an enabler as a friend. I fell in love with their stamps. I incorporated Fun Stampers Journey cardstock and inks for my projects. I love how I was able to create a background using one stamp and several inks.
For my Owl card, I used some mixed media for the background. I watercolored the owl using the new Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers. I used a Tim Holtz stencil and used Gesso for the background. Once it was dry, I used FSJ Dark roast silk to splatter on the background. I love the different elements in this card.

Thanks for checking this out.
Happy Kreating!!
