When I first received Christmas Magic Stamp and Die Bundle, I knew that I wanted to create something different and special. I happened to be scrolling thru You Tube and saw the Waterfall Technique. I immediately knew this was it!!! So I created my card and decided to share the details on how to create this.
1. I stamped my images on Whip Cream cardstock in Black Licorice ink. My large sentiment was stamped using Black Licorice ink on Whip Cream cardstock. I used Journey Glaze and outlines Believe and Christmas, I then sprinkled Sparkle Dust over the images and set aside to dry.
2.My card base is an A2 tent style card in Candy Apple. I cut my Kiwi Slice layer to 4' by 5 1/4". My patterned paper from Cozy Prints is cut to 3 3/4" by 5"which is adhered to my Kiwi Slice layer. The Candy Apple Band is cut to 1" by 4".
3. To create the Waterfall, you need to cut your cardstock (I used Candy Apple CS) My strip is 2" by 8". It took me a couple times to figure out the right combination. I scored my strip at 2', 3" and 4". The score lines will differ if you use more panels. Our Score Board is perfect for this technique. I then fold the CS on the score lines. The panel cuts are cut 1/4" smaller than the strip. My Whip Cream CS is 1 3/4" by 1 3/4". You can use the 1 3/4" Punch (TO-0029) to achieve this.I just used my paper trimmer (TO-0039).
4.I colored my images using the Color Burst Pencils and then die cut the images out. I popped up the images on the 1 3/4" squares using foam squares. The middle square is stamped with the sentiment from Winter Build-A-Scene ATS using Candy Apple ink.
5. Punch out a 1" circle and fold in half, then attach to bottom of strip (side not scored. Punch a hole thru it so you can attach ribbon, twine, or string thru the hole. This is used to achieve your waterfall.
6. Back to the strip, fold the strip under the band that is attached to the Kiwi Slice panel using brads. Slide the part of the strip NOT scored under the band. Attach the bottom of the scored side to the band using white liner.
7. Now it's time to attach your stamped square to the waterfall. The bottom image is attached completely to the bottom scored box. The middle and top are both attached to there respective square, just below the score line. This gives you the waterfall affect when you pull the bottom part of the strip.
Finish you card up as you like with embellishments. I used the mini bell to give it that holiday look.
Hope you enjoyed this tutorial. I would love to see what you create.
Happy Kreating!!!
